Experience the unique atmosphere of Valletta, during an unforgettable two days Firework Festival in Malta’s stunning capital city. Each year, Malta celebrates the final days of the Winter and the arrival of Spring with spectacular fireworks. International participants and Maltese fireworks factories will providing a series of competitive displays synchronised to music. The festival starts on Friday the 29th and finishes on Saturday 30th April 2011. The Grand Harbour will provide a magical backdrop to the 9th edition of the Malta International Fireworks Festival. Best viewing spot in the city is Barriera Wharf on the Valletta sea front inside the Grand Harbour. The show starts at 2100hrs and lasts for over three hours.

Fireworks festivals in Malta have a long standing tradition and date back to the Knights of St John. Important events were celebrated with fireworks, a tradition which is still very much alive in the village festas especially during the summer months.
